So what is PSR?

PSR stands for Personal Social Responsibility. We think that everyone should receive recognition for doing things that help other people, so we created PSR points as a way to showcase the value that you are giving to people looking for advice.  

You’ve probably heard of CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility - you may even be involved in CSR initiatives through your company.* But although these are great initiatives that often help promote your company and its image, you’re not getting any personal acknowledgement for it. PSR is all about you and what you’re bringing to the WYGU community; enabling you to show the world how valuable others think you are.

The way it works is that anyone you mentor in chat conversations can give you PSR points to say thanks and acknowledge the help you have given them. The points can be seen in your profile information (you’ll see a feedback rating section where points will add up with the more advice you give) and you can use this rating to show your boss, recruitment consultant, peers, etc the valuable contribution you've made.

If you have asked for advice from a mentor you will discover that once you finish your chat conversation you are offered the chance to thank them with PSR points. You can choose how many you would like to give based on the usefulness of the information you have received

And it doesn’t stop there... although the PSR points are only in WYGU chat right now, pretty soon you will see that you can also earn points for lots of other things including  answering questions and adding valuable information to the WYGUpedia. Not only do PSR points show everyone else how much you’re helping the community, they also let you know that people really value your insights and wisdom.
