Greece and the financial crisis.
I am not going to start with a big introduction. I believe that more or less you have all heard about the financial crisis in Greece. I want to give my point of view on this situation as a young person living in this country. The unemploy...

Mick Parkinson Its a tough situation, personally i think transport such as trains and buses should be alot cheaper to encourage growth and movement. Years ago, the government had more say on the transport system and we did quite well, it was pleasantly affordable, as it should be. I also can't stand this 'oh its just another £1 per week' attitude we keep hearing from every different sector wanting to capitalise on our every penny we don't have. The share market, i'm only just starting to understand, read about. From what I have learnt so far, America govern alot of it, to seemingly benefit themselves or more to the point American shareholders. It needs regulating for the benefit of all, not simply those with all the economic capital, sitting in their ivory towers.

DEMMI DEMERTZI I can see your point Mick. And apart from transport the prices in many basic products and services should be lower. Cause right now the salaries keep getting smaller when the prices keep rising. It is a matter of having a decent life quality. And of course it is of major importance that some measures are taken to boost the economy ( creating new job vacancies etc). This is the only way to get out of this situation.

Cheryl Marasigan That sounds bad. Jobhunting in London at the moment and it is pretty gloomy although there is talk that things are picking up. There is just so much competition and employers can take their pick. I dream of working around Europe for example Spain but the news from there is all doom and gloom as well. What are your plans at the moment?

DEMMI DEMERTZI I hope you find a job soon, Cheryl. Right now I really want to continue my studies ( Master degree) probably in UK. But in order to do this I need to work for a while and save some money for my studies. I hope now that summer comes I might find sth in the "tourism industry" See how things go!
